Sorry if this sounds a dumb question to some of you but as I know nothing about digital photographs this is why I am asking . I intend to buy a digital Camera and I would like to know how much money does it cost to process the photographs in to prints in a high street store

By processing I assume you just mean printing and not editing the image itself at all?
Any particular reason for a high street store? Online providers tend to be cheaper for anything more than a few prints and are typically something like 10p-15p per print depending on volume and quality. If you are getting 500 prints done at once it can be under 5p a print. P&P is often fairly flat rate on top of that of a couple of quid.
Boots in store printing on the other hand is 39p per print for instant printing.0 -

Always found them very good for all sorts:
High Street Stores are always more expensive, unless you only want a 'one off'.:eek:2.5 kWp PV system, SSW facing, 45 Deg Roof. ABB Inverter, Monitor: 'Wattson'.
Reg. for FIT Nov 2011. "It's not what you generate; it's how you use it that matters". One very clean Vauxhall Diesel Sri, £30.00 Road Tax:

You might not know, but it is possible to get hundreds of photos developed free.
If you google photographic developing sites, you will see dozens. You will also notice that each of them print your first order free. Each of the companies vary how many is in their offer, but it can be up to 50. Al they are after, is your email address so they can send you details on a regular basis.
It is possible to use the same company several times for the same free offer, simply by creating email accounts that you might never use again.
I appreciate at this early stage, it might be too much to take in, but I simply wanted to make it known that you don't have to pay if you don't want to. If you have one or two photos you want a print of desperately, the ASDA photo places do a 1 hour service & this is both cheaper & better quality than the natty standalone machines.
+1 for online processing though. Welcome to the delightful world of digital photography & the weird ideas like cushions & massive canvas prints...!0 -
As I have an ipad, I went to the App Store, and entered Free Prints, and was taken to a site called Planet Art. This site allows you to order about 46 prints, 6" x 4" every month free. All you pay is P&P which I think is about £1.50 ish.
The first order of about a dozen prints comes free with no charge for P&P. I found this site yesterday and did an order for about a dozen, and it gave me the option to send an invite to someone else, who would have their initial order increased from 12 by an extra 5 prints.
I may have the numbers slightly wrong ie 45 prints and not 46 etc. and the 12 may be 10, I'm trying to do this from memory.
It may be that this offer is available from the google place for android.
If you want different sizes of prints, that's where charges are incurred.
PS, this is the link

I usually get mine done at Asda.
It's convenient (and under 1 hour if you are really desperate), and not unduly expensive.
I mostly get mine done as 7X5 (25p each for < 100, on 2 day processing or Post to home), but 6X4 prints can be had for 15p each, on Post to home.0 -
I print mine at home on my printer.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

Just in case anyone should feel this might be an "iffy" site, someone has shown me that there are a great many satisfied customers via this amazon users link:-

the only negative comment was unjustified in my opinion. They mentioned prints that are chargeable. Huh, as you get to the checkout, you are told that if you wish your prints to be printed in anything other that the 6 x4 size, then a charge would be involved. But the offer quite clearly states throughout that the free offer is for 6 x 4, so you wouldn't expect anything other imo. This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
