passenger air bag
can someone please explain how to turn off the air bag on my B M W i can see the slot on the passenger side dash but unable to turn off as direction indicates , is there a special key somewhere to use ?, or is it just a screwdriver slot ?, its my sons car & i don t want to damage it. Its a keyless ignition & i think its a 3 series tourer ,so its obvious the ignition key is not the one ,as its keyless.

If its an E90/1/2/3 then there will be a key in the fob.
You could try reading the owners handbook, they should tell you exactly how to disable the airbag, if at all."Dream World" by The B Sharps....describes a lot of the posts in the Loans and Mortgage sections !!!0 -

Hi skipper.
There is no key , it's keyless, & the screwdriver looking slot is rather large for a flat head screwdriver, I'm trying to find out so that I don't mess it up.
Thankyou0 -
The key is hidden inside the fob. Next to where the ring goes through you will see a small serrated area on either side of the fob. Squeeze these and it pulls out of the fob with a key blade on. This will fit the airbag switch.0
