One Credit Application Recorded as Two

I have a free trial with Experian and my score has recently gone down due to the number of credit applications I have made in the last six months.

The thing is, two of them were for just one product (both recorded as Santander uk plc on 07/03/2015).

Is there anything I can do about this? Experian suggests contacting the lender if they are not my details but there are my details, it's just the same application has been recorded twice. I'm getting closer to 'Poor' than 'Good' now and it's starting to worry me.

Thanks.

You could contact Santander and ask them to remove one if it bothers you.

But assuming you're not in the middle of a mortrgage application, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

It's only a search and your Experian score means nothing.

    Thanks.

If there is anything on your credit report that you feel has been recorded incorrectly, we're able to query the information with the lender on your behalf.

If you wanted to email me your details (name/dob/address) I would gladly be able to investigate this further for you, as I understand this is starting to worry you, I want to assure you that I'm here to help.

zx81 is correct, you can also contact the lender directly if you would prefer.

    Kind Regards
