    thanks all - just an update - I managed to get some half price on eBay.. well worth it - they are awesome - still not sure they are worth it full price, but love them :)

    if you can afford it than go for it.
    i know theyre heavy, but a belfast sink raised on bricks perhaps for carrots or other bits.
    hanging baskets are handy for things like strawberry plants.
    if not how about about using guttering for salad leaves, rigged to the fence or something similar.
