Hi
we plan to fix Parking sensors (no drilling type) for my wife's Hyundai i10(2013 reg)
I need help removing the front and rear bumpers.I should be able to do rest of the work myself.
How much should it cost me by local garages for removing the bumpers?I am getting very varied time and cost quotes.

I've no knowledge of that car, but I would be strongly tempted to try removing them myself. I reckon the money most garages would charge for the job would pay for a nice toolkit.0

Why not just pay a garage to fit parking sensors?
At least you have a warranty if something goes wrong.
Park Corner did mine with Steelmates from Halfords on offer.
BTW which drill-less ones are you looking at?0 -
I imagine if you can fix the sensors yourself then it should be no bother removing the bumpers yourself as well. Just need to get hold of a service manual for the i10 and finding out where all the bolts/clips are. Have you tried searching google/youtube or looking on any owner forums.0

I thought the drill-less ones just stuck on top of the bumper, and the wires trail untidily into the boot? (So the bumper doesn't need to come off.)
The ones I bought on sale, but never fitted, come with a hole saw, then you could just push the sensor in from outside, but you'd never get the wires to go anywhere so you might as well drop the bumper off.
You will need two people to fit the bumper, removing is easy onto an old blanket on the ground once you remove all the screws and push rivets.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

Rather than pay a garage to remove the bumpers, I'd pay someone like chameleon to do the job.0

.
You can get ones that use a strip behind the number don't ask me how they work or how effective they are. None of the manufactures seem to use including the posher brands, which susgest something to me.
The biggest question is once the bumpers are off how are you going to get the car home.0 -
Also puzzled why you would need to remove the bumpers for the no drill type?
What type are they?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Might be cheaper getting her some lessons in judging distance.0
