New to switching...

After being with the same bank (barclays) for 25 years I've final decided to switch current accounts to one of the more appealing options. Although understand that it's meant to be fairly straight forward now, I was just wondering if it is possible even though I've got a personal loan and a credit card with them? Wanted to check that there wasn't any hidden catches, as I am completely new to this!

I used the Switching service last March from NatWest to Lloyds.
I've still got my loan with NatWest and (as yet) haven't encountered any problems.
Hope that helps. It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0 -

What do the the terms of your loan and your credit card say - do either of them pre-requisite the current account you currently have?0 -

i have a loan with first trust bank and at one point had a current account to service it as it was a requirement at the time. about a year later i used the switch service no problem and switched to halifax for the bonous. my loan payment now comes out of my halifax account. so if they apply the same logic then you should be ok. never banked with your branch though so i dont know for certian. hope tis helps0
