Hello,
I have a normal Halifax Debit card. I was looking to purchase something from a chinese website (Aliexpress) and they seem to support GBP currency. If I was to use my Debit card, would I still be charged some of those internation fees? or is it only if currency conversion takes place?

Can't answer your actual question but have you googled Aliexpress? There seem to be a lot of poor reviews, suggest you do some research before buying from them.0

If the card is charged in £ then there will be no fees.
However, the rate they use for calculating the £ price theoretically can be very poor.0 -

Yea I read them, a lot of em are to do with fake items but I'm only ordering unbranded clothes that aren't worth much and I'll only be ordering from Sellers that have really good reputation, so I'm ok with it.
My first order is worth about £12 or so, no big orders. If the card is charged in £ then there will be no fees.

Thanks and yea I'll keep the exchange rates in mind.
It's a shame I don't qualify for one of those travelers CCs but the gbp prices look fine.0
