At last!

I've been visited by TV Licensing! I nipped out this afternoon to post a letter, using the back door, as normal and noticed their leaflet on my doorstep saying they'd visited a couple of hours previously.

Having been in all day, some of that time in the kitchen or paint stripping in the hall I'm somewhat surprised I didn't see them. They don't appear to have rung the bell which I'd also hear in the shed, and unless one of the various publicity leaflets, letter and local rag delivered today caused it to drop out, it appears to have been left on my doorstep.

Is this a special technique to see if it's been picked up when they pass by later?

I've left it there as I'd like to decline their offer: "We called today to help you start watching TV legally". I don't want to watch TV at all, thank you! Oh, except down the pub occasionally when my favourite team is playing!

G4S have been around here posting these pathetic letters. I say pathetic because the letter says "We called" but once it was the postie who posted it and the another time was a frail lookig guy who barely made it up the path.

Neither of them "...called..." they just shoved it through the letterbox.
