Carvoeiro Algarve

Anyone been and can recommend accomodation for 2 adults and 2 children? Would prefer 2 rooms as the kids are getting a bit big for a sofa bed.

Have been looking at Colina da Lapa Club but worried it may be just a bit too quiet.

Or another rosort? We like the look of Carvoeiro but somewhere similar would do. Been to Praia Da Vau a few years back and like it.

I've been here and it's lovely!

Ok, it's a bit quite but there is a pool and kids stuff, u can walk to a couple of places to eat and the food is nice. The jeep safari picks you up from reception.

What we did was hire a car as there a some really nice beaches. Colina da Lapa is about 5 minutes drive from Carvoeiro and 20 minutes from Alburferia.

Have a look at Rocha Brava - big complex with lots of facilites.
Good standard of accom but does tend to be a bit more pricey than some
of the others. Had it recommended to me by friend who have stayed there.

Thanks, had a look at the Rocha Brava, it looks great but the cheapest I can get a 2 bed apartment for a week on 14 october is £351 with Xcapewithus. I was really wanting something under £300. I could get a one room apartment but the kids are 14 and 11 so I would rather have 2 rooms.

I booked ours with flightline.co.uk, we went in March and the holiday was well under £300.00!!!

Carvoeiro is a lovely resort we have stayed there several times now including this summer. We always book independently as it works out a lot cheaper booking direct with the owners and using budjet airlines. Try looking on http://www.carvoeiro.com/ for tips on accomodation and also

You'll find Roch Brava apts on those sites.
If you want something very central to the village I'd suggest Monte Dourado apts

Hi My friend's been to the Mirachoro Praia in carvoeiro and loved it, he recommended that i go as im looking for a holiday in October. He also knows some other people who have been and loved it. He recommended booking through globespan and when i looked, 7 nights in october b & b at the mirachoro praia worked out cheaper for me than 7 nights in majorca sc with direct holidays and that was only a 3*!

Im considering booking up!

We stayed at a Pestanan Hotel in Maderia, it was really nice!
