We need to install a new kitchen refitt and tiling in the bathroom and things like that . Is any body can recommend any builders that will be much appreciated . We are new to this area. My thoughts are is this a house for you, and if so how long do you intend to live there? Then what budget and specification are you seeking? The suggestion of a B&Q Kitchen suggests that the kitchen may not be a good spec. Are you looking to source all the items then get them fitted, (which may limit your choice of tradesmen) or are you after a tradesman to buy and fit everything (which may limit your choice of items or prices)

If the house is for renting out, then one is probably trying to get a minimal specification obtained on a tight budget.

Hence without having more information it is difficult to give sound opinions.

    Hope this helps.

Then I suggest you specify quality according to the type of house. If it is a two bedroom then one can question spending lots of money. If it is one of the five bedroom Beazer houses then one could argue for better quality fittings.

Others may disagree but I would be looking for branded bathroom fittings like Armitage Shanks or Ideal Standard, branded taps like Bristan or Pegler, proper rigidly assembled kitchen units in 18mm chipboard with a proper solid back panel, and with proper doors (not foil wrapped mdf or anything similar), and a quality laminate worktop like Duropal, 180 degree hinges, proper handles that can be easily grasped...etc.

Buildbase are down the road from you, as are Build It. Both are good and you should be able to negotiate or bounce ideas off them. Buildbase also do Cashback days of up to 10%, so ask about these too.

I do not know the area well enough to recommend fitters.

I would not follow the current, latest fashions - go for neutrality, timeless, and classic so that it does not date and will be relatively attractive to future purchasers.
