I am going to be absolutely honest here because you seem to be getting so worried about everything.

You have a young family and appear to be struggling financially if you cannot get a deposit together for private accommodation near your parents.

I do not think you should be getting yourself into such a state over something you cannot really control. For instance, if you were living nearer to your mum it is still possible that you mum would have burnt her hand whilst you were not there. Try to get this into perspective.

If you are saying that your mum needs 24 hr care/supervision then this is a subject that your dad, mum and family members need to discuss. Has her doctor visited recently? What does he/she say? What does your dad say?

It may be that your dad needs to stop work or work part time. It may be that you mum needs meals on wheels or help from social services or microwave meals. There are many different possible options to help keep your mum safe.

But it cannot be your sole responsibility. By all means get everyone together, make suggestions but in the end you must not feel guilty about something that basically you have little control over. You will make yourself ill. Your parents, with the help of the doctor/social services need to help themselves. There is help available and they must use it or rearrange their lives.

Your first priority is your family. Help in every way you can but do not do so at the risk of your own health and detriment to your family.
