1 or 2 credit search(es) !?

dI'd like to apply for a Bank of Scotland current account and credit card.

In the past I've completed bank account applications and I've been asked as part of the application if I'd like a credit card which I've accepted. This has only resulted in one credit search.

I understand from the BOS call centre that it's not possible (via phone or internet) to make a combined application for both a current account and a credit card but the agent I spoke to thinks if I make two separate applications for each product on the same day this would only leave me with one credit search.

Does anyone know whether I would have 2 searches if I applied for both products on the same day?

It'll leave one that's what happened to me with lloyds Bank.

Just thought I'd pop a note to say BOS searched me twice on the same day for a credit card and a bank account in March.

As I said in my previous post I've known some banks to only carry out one check on the same day if you apply for multiple products but this doesn't appear to be the case for BOS.
