new car woes

Thought I'd update everybody, the finance company got involved; their representative visited yesterday and he drove the vehicle and determined that there's a huge electrical problem with the car and as it stands it is not fit for purpose. The car is either going back and we're getting a new one in May or we're getting a full refund.
Well done you for fighting your case with the dealer. It sounds like it was predominantly an electrical fault (clutch aside) and I don't really see what the mileage has to do with it if the faults were happening from the very beginning. Manufacturers warranties are there for a reason.
I'm amazed that some people have compared your car to a lorry and that you should be able to reverse it without the sensors! Think they are missing the point here - the point is you've PAID to have these extra bits of specification and so they should 'do what they say on the tin' so to speak!1
