RBS Autopilot

Hi all,

Is there anyone out there who bought an RBS Autopilot product and would be willing to share their experience?

RBS recently admitted that Autopilot probably isn't appropriate for individual investors, and is contacting buyers and offering them their money back. Anyone been contacted?

Yes. And it's paid out after five years with hardly any increase in value. They're meant to be contacting everyone but I've not been contacted. I complained via my bank manager and had an acknowledgement but nothing else. The story's been on Bloomberg but the bank seems to be keeping schtum.

I invested almost 300,000 USD into an RBS Autopilot 5 year fund after a recommendation from my (then) IFA. It matured last week (Oct 2015) with a gain of 10,000 USD i.e. an annual rate of interest of well under 1%.
Furthermore I am finding it impossible to talk to anyone at RBS about this pitiful performance.
AVOID.
