Well said, I don't think people are feeling guilty, they are just saying what they are doing & not looking for a pat on the back, keep up the good work peps:j0 -

I don't disagree with you. What I do disagree with is people making out they are doing people a favour when in reality if there was nothing in it for them they wouldn't be.
Buy Udis....do what you will with them and do what you will with whatever profits yiu make. I have no problem with that.
But to come on here and advertise what a generous person you are because you've found somewhere to offload them is what I disagree with. I give to foodbanks......not udis, because I don't buy them. I do give things I've bought too much of thinking I'd use itand haven't.
I never feel the need to post on here about it.
it was the fact they were referred to as 'they' tonight that got to me. like people who use foodbanks are a different speciesI'm all for foodbanks and I support them. But truly generous people and supporters just do it and don't need slapped on the back for supporting them

Just a thought that maybe being able to give a little of what you have is better than nothing at all
When you're done feeding your own families (which is what most people use glitchy APGs for after all) it's kind to think of others in whatever way possible. Smart price, that tin you had lurking at the back of the cupboard....I don't think it's right to make people feel guilty for giving within their means. We all know foodbanks aren't a long term solution, but as long as they are around, there will be people giving whatever they can a.spare or b. Want to.Debt free 6th December 2014

Am watching life after suicide, I don't know how the lady can be so composed, such sad stories
on a lighter note lets hope some eggs compare well tomorrow as I didn't get any today:eek:

Truly generous people give. That's it. Full stop. Nobody posting about it is asking for a pat on the back, or a high five. Who says that all charity is done in secret?
When someone does a marathon and you sponsor them, is that a secret? ANYONE who does something to help someone else....good for them. At the end of the day, the person receiving said charity doesn't give a bleep if you've mentioned it or not.Debt free 6th December 2014

EMMAP I love your sentiment but go look at their faces when they eat an udi
Tonight we had a great debate on how disgusting they are by the people who donate them to other people.......which was my point. They are donating them because they are too disgusting for them to eat. I don't call that charity at all
we can agree to disagree. Maybe some people would rather run a marathon than eat an udi?0 -
*gets off soapbox*
Anyway, g'night everyone. I'm most perturbed that nobody answered my question about postal coupons....you cliquey lot. I can't believe you ignored me!
Also FC, I've never eaten an Udi so I've not experienced the horror :eek:Debt free 6th December 2014
