I have done a 10 day holiday with 5kg allowance, just wear lots of stuff through check in & security, then change in loo and put excess clothes in bag to take on plane
I left some extra clothes on for plane as I get cold on there. You would be surprised how much you can wear when you need to
I always travel light <7kg usually and I don't resort to tactics like this :D
Though should say my baggage allowance is usually 20kgSomething unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.

My clothes are minimal this time. But the 3 year old and the baby tend to need an excessive amount of kit!!0 -
