Dearest Strewth...please never appologise for a long post ....I could sit and read about it all day...I am genuinely really interested in not only the education side of equation but also the social and intergration side of it all too...
We looked into it briefly some years back for DS1 but the logistics just became too difficult so we explored other options....not all children fit easily in to the model the government propose for schooling, and I really believe its about finding whats right for those learning.....once you have cracked it then I believe the child will and often does flourish.

So pleased that its working well for you all

It wouldnt work for every family, I am at home as I refuse to leave ds2 in childcare as not everyone can handle him easily, he is easy to handle if you know him well. This means that I will be home for at least another 5 years and maybe longer depending on how things go with him, fits in well to get dd2 through her GCSEs. I found that her social interactions while she was at school were going downhill as she was losing confidence in herself and her self esteem was heading rapidly downwards too. As her confidence is growing I can see her developing a much more relaxed persona, she used to stiffen up and back away from people but she has got a lot better since being out of school. We have met up with a couple of other home ed families, one has never sent their child to school - she is the same age as ours but sooo confident, it's lovely to see :) Another is in a similar situation to ours - their daughter is very shy and felt like an outcast but she is happier since starting home ed. DD2 gets on wit both girls really well. I know it's not for everyone, ds2 is staying in school while I can see he is happy and thriving but wouldn't hesitate to pull him out if I felt the need.

I am only 5ft 2 also and that 3 weeks overdue I put on a kilo ( obviously all went on baby). Mine cried first 2 weeks of his life until I have him a dummy he had till he was 4 and he didnt sleep through till then either. He is very bright but no commonsense and at 31 still does not sleep properly at night. My DD slept through at 6 weeks and is 29 and could sleep for England.

DS2 sleeps really well, just gets up at the crack of dawn every day :( My 2 dds have no common sense whatsoever, both clever girls but were at the back of the queue when common sense was being handed out :rotfl:

Glad it turned out well helen :) I would have liked to have gone with no pain relief but it was a long labour and I am a mardy :rotfl: Had no choice in the end as they were prepping for an emergency c section if necessary. I had had lots of gas and air and something else I cant remember the name of by then though...pethadine maybe??

Sorry I don't know :o I tend to browse signed in because I can't access my various shopping lists signed out and I'm constantly adding to them. It used to be that not everything appeared signed out or not all comparisons showed. I'm not sure if that's still the case as MSM behaviour patterns seem to change a lot, too often for my liking.

I can say though that "not available in Sada" is more reliable than the unknown item message. I've scanned loads of stuff that's unknown but it is on there. I can't remember ever having an unavailable on the app item appear on the APG. However unavailable items on the website are unreliable as many of these will show available in the app but limited online availability. Such items have always appeared on the APG for me, HTH

Thanks for that, have always been curious as to the workings of it. I finally discovered today that I was actually signed in on phone so makes me even more confused as to why the same app on 2 devices with same postcode have been showing some different comps. Tablet proving more reliable but not handy to carry round shopping :)

Curiosity won and I bought the egg showing not available when scanned in sada but showing on tablet, someone else tried it as well and posted with same result as me last night. Just scanned egg with tablet, shows same as phone but noticed, for first time, weight shows 218g but egg is actually 200g.

Hoping I remember details to sign back in as noticed my lists were all gone :o though I only ever seem to use one and get round to removing an item I added for shopz just before it appears back on the offers

is another untested trigger, cant find it on MSM logged in, logged out, on another browser or mobile.

Standard these are £3.88 comparing with £1.94 at T

    So £2.87 for 12

I think the other yogurt deal was better, didn't try it myself hate the stuff! haha

Last weekend we visited him and his wife to help tidy the garden in their new flat. Garage is full of tools previous tenant left behind and he found a lovely little mechanical lawn mower in there. his face was a picture mowing his little lawn. I said might be good for relaxation as he is quite uptight about things. When i told his sister about the mower she said it was a good job it was not an electric one as he cant be trusted with electric. She on the other hand has just got her own home and is a fabulous house wife and has the makings of an Elite member with her shopping habits so far. B&M one of her favourite shops and she is very excited as she has a new washing machine coming on monday. Dont you just love em.

Have both devices got the same version of msm app? Mine haven't and I personally prefer the older version that I have on the iPad that still compares milk etc where as the newer version on my phone only shows the shops milk no competitors.
