I am so glad I never took up smoking.

My mum gave me a puff on hers when I was about 5, I still remember how awful if made me feel, put me off for life!
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare

QOC good luck on quitting the fags!

Thanks for the nice comments about the baby box guys. My mate is a sweetheart- she said to me last night she doesn't want a baby shower because she doesn't want people to feel like they have to buy things for her. I was sitting there thinking 'it's too late for that!'. I think I got the first thing for the box even before she told me she was pregnant :rotfl: Must have known I'd need it!

I gave up smoking in 1993.about a year b4 ds born.only smoked about5 a day but kept a packet in drawer for about 18mths after.my reasoning was the same as with forbidden foods, that if I had some there, I didnt want them.but if I couldnt find any, id want them most in the world, iykwim....made sense to me.my mum gave up using some kind of mouthwash someone was selling.he told her to use the mw and try a cig.she did and couldnt smoke cos she said it was worse thing ever, revolting.that was years ago.gave it to her friends and about 6 ppl stopped so must have been good stuff.never saw it again though.
these ecigs seem really good but I worry about the chargers catching fire, so please be extra careful.xx

I still have baccy and fags rolled , if i was to smoke one now would take my throat out.
Ecigs are catching fire as they are not being charged correctly, NEVER EVER leave overnight on charge, and they must be charged through lappy not socket

    Evening gang,
we are having a small baby shower at the weekend and I have no idea what the format is....
my youngest has made some cakes and they are having little sandwiches and some games....any tips please ?

the whole thing is a little short notice as time has run away with us and tomorrow she has to have an emergency scan as they think the baby has flipped to head up again :(

When I hosted my daughters I gave everyone a balloon to stick up their jumper as they arrived so everyone spent the afternoon waddling, we had a life size drawing of her with a pic of her head stuck on and a load of little babies. Took turns being blindfolded and played stick the baby in the womb ( bad taste maybe but hilarious). Guess the baby food, had a few jars with labels taken off

She had a henna pattern painted on her bump by a talented friend. Had a help me name the baby list
Some fabric pens and white vests so people could make them unique.

I made a belly and boob cake (loads of ideas in you tube) and also some vagina cupcakes, again bad taste but had to be done!

As her guests left they were given a coloured candle a with a note asking them to light them when baby was born to create a rainbow of light.

Guests were asked to bring a bead or charm which she then made into a necklace which was to be worn in labour

My little star was born March 1st

Hope that gives you some ideas
