hello all. I've been to Wallis to collect some cheapy necklaces I ordered a few weeks back. Bargain, reduced from £15 to £3 and going in my Xmas stash. Also did some clothes trying on, and somehow bought a dress and a sexy leather skirt from Oasis oo-er:p:D

Hi Snap, I lost my mum 6 weeks ago & I really appreciated the support of my dh so get there as soon as you can. Thinking of you xx

Please can someone help me? I rarely shop in A but have now reached my 10 receipts this month. The computer won't let me print any more even tho' I'm now getting some for my dd using her email & address. I'd get her to print herself but she hasn't got a printer. Does anyone know how I can overcome this please? Very many thanks x

I also couldn't beleive the section available when we first moved here, when my mum comes over to visit she spends hours wandering around Asda and Sainsburys, :rotfl:.

It must be a good few years that you left SA then, shops are open Sundays now :p. But there isn't always running water and electricity now days :o

I left SA 15 years ago. The last time I went back was in September 2004 to collect my law degree.

Good to know that they have Sunday trading now. I did hear about the black outs. That's what happens when you have only the government running the utility companies and not allowing any competitors in ...

However, I have found it beneficial to be a fellow South African when chatting to Asda CS and a few other CS for other UK companies who are also based in South Africa ;)

Washing in, just as the heavens opened:j

Now I'm off to t to spend as little as possible on a £55 shop/spend:eek:
    Wish me luck;)

    I think a £55 shop, using moc's PP's etc. £31 to pay, £10 PP out? :rotfl:

Pick n Pay Brand Match:D:D. I didn't realise we had people here from abroad:doh:. But, how do we know which stores of the competitors, in which localities, have been checked by the Pick n Pay people and what the prices they have got would be? I chanced upon the T&Cs (and TV advert) for that supermarket - didn't seem much use to me, if I had been in S.A. - think best just to shop at the competitors (of course it's mixed basket, where people mix cheaper items with expensive ones and thus most people lose any benefit - so they can't really get everything the cheapest at all, unless somehow they could work out what data had been collected and work out whether the store was OOS at the specific time the collectors happened to visit that particular rival store - not like "our" (well, I suppose it is mainly ours:rotfl:) APG where they include OOS items if there is a SEL (in M) and most of the comparisons (i.e. vs T, S, W) are from, in theory, publicly seen information available on msm website (even though that doesn't help if it's been updated but the APG not yet)).

I suspect that sort of thing goes out of the window if on a holiday, how can you check where the best price of everything is? That's what happened with me when I was incommunicado - only in Inverness:rotfl: - were on a holiday, just bought everything (which wasn't much - we took most things with us or otherwise was part of the holiday) from the nearby M, without worrying about cost, as we had no access to a car for the week and that was just nearest to where we were staying. We got back okay, and then I tried to catch up with where the prices had gone everywhere in the few weeks I'd been away.

(Inverness, Scotland, as opposed to Inverness, Florida or even Inverness, California.)

I'm not aware that the South African stores do brand matching. They certainly didn't when I was last there, and my brother who holidays there every year has certainly not mentioned that this is now available in South Africa.

Afternoon luvlies, just having a little break while a coat of emulsion dries. When I was instore in A yesterday the Thorntons Classics eggs (220g) were on the shelf in the 3 for £10. Just checked A.com and they're on there - They are NOT showing in the multi on MSM ;) there is a classics egg on MSM but this is the 282g one - may just have found a trigger.

Can't test until Friday unfortunately as I must finish this decorating :(
