B & Q offer qurstion

Hello, I am in the process of painting my garage, and today bought a 5L pot of paint from B&Q. Now, the paint was on offer, £29.99 each or 2 for £40. I stupidly bought one, started using it and realised I should have bought a 2nd! *serious "doh" moment*
If I take them the receipt as proof I'd bought it, and I speak very nicely to their customer service desk in the next few days, do you think they might let me have a 2nd pot as if i'd bought both on the original offer?
