    you can find them on auto trader as well and you will be supprised how many fall for it

    A mate of ours did. It was such an obvious scam he fell for a 3 year vw golf for £4000, normally up around 10k

    If the IP address is in the USA then reporting it to Action Fraud is not going to help much.
    You could report it to Gumtree, but he'll just re-register.
