recommend hotel at stansted airport

Can anyone recommend a hotel we can use overnight when we fly from Stansted. we don't need carparking
Really want to use one with personal recommendation rather than just check impesonal website links.
Have looked at Travelodge, cheap room but have to add £12 taxi fare each way as coach will drop us at airport, then taxi to hotel and then back again the next morning.
Would like some where really close or with free/cheap transfers
Thanks

There is a Radisson which is actually attached, via a walkway, to the terminal. I haven't stayed there so cannot comment on how good or bad it is.

The radisson is very good, tad pricey but ya pay for what ya get, every other hotel you will need to get a cab too, there is a Hilton down the road too but as previoulsy stated you will need a cab to get to and from the hotel.

    all the best

In the end we stayed at the Travel Lodge at Great Dunmow for £26 and took a cab £6 each way.
  • I like the radisson, you can get it a bit cheaper if you book in advance, and its only a short walk to the terminal.

Radisson SAS is beautiful , have stayed there several times on business. Very often the best deals there are to be found by booking direct with the hotel itself.

As far as I am concerned,i can never understand why the "wine Angels" at that hotel have not been listed as one of the 7 wonders of the world.Worth staying in the hotel just to see that.
