Halifax Reward Current Account - switch?

I'm looking to open a Halifax Reward Current account for the switching reward and the £5 per month reward.

I already have a couple of bank accounts with incentives which I don't want to lose (including the one my wages are paid into). I have an RBS joint account with my partner which has no standing order/DD's on it and we only pay in £150 per month each as we use it as our food spending account.

Could I use this RBS account to switch to Halifax to get the switching reward, or does it need to be an account with DDs/salary activity?

Thank you.

You can use any account with or without DDs to get the Halifax incentive - but if you then want to get the £5 a month from the reward account you will need to set up at least 2 DDs once its moved over.

So no issue with the £125 incentive - but to get the £5 a month you will need to add 2 DDs.
  • Thanks - that's good news! I'll use Tesco online savers as the direct debits.
