  • When my OH and I first got together he nagged me into hanging clothes the right way out to save time when taking them off the line, all these years later and I'm still doing it and since I'm at home with the kids and he rarely does it know he's forgotton!!!!!!

Mind you he used to match the pegs up to LOL

I do all my washing inside out, except for whites. I find any stains that maybe left on them are bleached out by the sun.
  • I too turn everything inside out - OH doesn't understand why I do it to his trousers. When I explained that it stops them fading he just raised his eyebrows... I don't care and keep doing it anyway. This is something my mum taught me to do.

I wash and peg out everything inside out too. Mum always used to and I guess the habit stuck with her daughters! I really relate to the OP who mentioned the tissue residue - pet bane of my life, and sometimes it's me that forgets!

Yup, I do this too. You only have to compare the colour of the inside and the outside of the clothes after a while to see that it works! I use colour care detergent on coloured clothes as the regular one has an 'oxygen based bleaching agent' in it.
