inside out clothes

Options
A friend of mine asked me why all my clothes were inside out as I was hanging them on the line. You know I always thought everyone does this.It keeps your clothes from fading and they last longer then.Tell me I'm not alone!

No your not alone, OH always insists i turn things inside out when i'm pegging out, and comes out and turns it if don't. Serves her right, letting a bloke peg out!
  • My oh wears a lot of t-shirt with prints on them and i always turn them inside out to wash them and to iron them to. Stops them peeling.

I always wash all clothes inside out,all zips must be done up,all buttons undone! I peg everything out inside out and iron on the 'wrong' side.
I thought everyone did this? maybe I'm very fussy about my laundry, probably why my mother stopped doing it for me when I was just 9 eek!

Clothes with pockets also dry quicker if pegged on the clothes line inside out.

I prefer to wash stuff inside out, especially the darker clothing - ironing too (if I ever do any)

I wash them as they come off the person but turn them right side out on the line (just to be different I guess) as I have messy children and this gives the sun a chance to bleach out any stains the washing powder has missed. Rather clean and faded, than bright but stained in my book!

Mostly inside out cos then if I leave a tissue in the wash (you'd think I'd have learned by now but oh no) it's mostly stuck to the inside of the clothes rather than the outside :)

They dont get so many "bits" on them or start rubbing if you turn them inside out to wash. Dont fade so much when you iron.

    You are not alone.
