(Excuse the poor grammer/spelling)
I applied for ESA on the 28th of January, I received a letter asking for more info/documents on the 28th of Feb. I sent the extra info/documents off on 3rd March, after getting it look over by social workers (the said it was all good).....when can i expect my first payment of assessment rate?
Also will i get any backdated money from the 28th Jan (since i started claiming?) would that be paid in the assessment rate or ESA rate (that's if i get awarded ESA)
Thanks!

Up to week 13 you will get assm. rate of ESA. Then depending on what group you are in WRAG/Support you will get the appropriate top-up premium. This does not backdate to wk1 unless your claim is an Incapacity benefit/Income support transfer case. Your assm. rate will start from end of wk 1 but it does take a couple of wks for them to sort it out.0
