TESCO H&B COUPONS - Thread 3 *See First Post for UPDATES*

I have just got back from the SA from hell at Tesco. I only did a 'simple' shop this afternoon and bought 2 Nicky Clarke & 1 JF sachet. I handed over 1 H&b x 2.50, 1SB x 2.50 and 1QK x 1.25. She put them all through and then decided it wasn't right that I should be given such a good discount so she called over cs to authorise voiding all my coupons. She pressed the red flashing button and it was like the whole of Tesco froze in time all looking at me. They let me put through 1.25 only. I didn't argue with them but went to cs afterwards and got a refund. Last night I did it with a different SA and it went through beautifully. I am going back there again tonight because I honestly don't feel I've done anything wrong. if Tesco didn't want us to use one coupon of each promotion then they wouldn't be printing them all at the same time. Just another day in the life of a couponer.0

I got overexcited and spotted the mousse. In front of it, the label said 66p.
"Great", I thought, "I'll have 6 of those". Bought some other toiletry bits and pieces and also quite a lot of food. Went to the till. Total bill was £72-something (before BOGOFs and coupons). After BOGOFs and coupons, bill came to £38-something.
I was really pleased until I checked my receipt and found that I'd been charged £2.59 for the mousse, not 66p. Due to this, I'd spent £27-odd on H&B before discounts, so I could have used loads more vouchers (well, actually, I wouldn't have even bought the mousse in the first place!!).
When I worked it out, I did get £3.48 knocked off for each "pair" of mousses, which meant I was in credit of £2.67 for the mousses. However, because I bought extra toiletries, the credit of £2.67 wasn't enough to cover my coupon shortage, so I ended up paying £2-something for my toiletries.
Not bad considering I got 6x mousse, 2x dove handwash, 2x colgage toothpaste and 2xsure deo, but not as good as free
I was thinking about taking the mousses back. However...
1) I don't to draw attention to myself and
2) I think I might have picked up the wrong one (it's a red can with Firm Control written on it). The label in front definitely said 66p though. Not sure what to do
IF the SEL definately states 66p, then in line with Tesco policy you are entitled to DTD (double the difference).
Now, it depends on how heavily-couponed your receipt is as to whether you want to go to CS.
Quick maths: charged £2.59, SEL states 66p : difference is £1.93 x 2 = £3.86 PER CAN.

Hmm, not sure what to do about taking them back. I've just checked my receipt and I used £11-worth of coupons. I might pop in on my way home from work and see whether there is a student on customer services and give it a whirl.
The only thing I'm worried about (apart from how many coupons I used!) is that what if they say "they're in front of the wrong label". The shelf was nearly empty, but these were definitely in front of the 66p label. But I didn't actually read the label, so it might say a different type of mousse on it...I got too excited at seeing a 66p label :rolleyes:0 -
Oh.. thanks for your help leadhead & Dragonslayer.... I've also come up with a couple of combinations as alternatives for 1 coupon of each usage.... Just incase the shelves are empty of radox & 100 + shops still to do that's alot of mousse & showergel.... All my coupon piles now consist of the same for ease & quickness... 1 x £2.50 h&b, 1 x £1.25 qp, 1 x £1.00 h&b, 1 x 40p colgate.
Inspired from Lh combo, 8 x £1.48 radox + 1 x 21p tesco value tpaste = £1.02 credit (loads of stuff for a £1.00 in T's but the extra 2p is going to be difficult.)
2 x VO5 @ £1.94 + 2 x Elvive @ £2.98 + 1 x aquafresh @ 65p = 8p credit (tesco value curry noodles are 8p = 0p transaction :T )
2 x So... Body Spray @ £1.99 + 2 x Elvive & £2.98 + 1 x aquafresh @ 65p = 3p credit... more noodles, haribos sweets or flumps @ 10p.
Knowing me there will be a flaw in my lists & I'll still come across problems.
I'll do DragonSlayers mousse combo nearer the end when I've been releived of most my coupons & have odds & ends to use up... Trying to get through my coupons as quick as possible now.0 -
Fab shop today :j I got 6 NK and used x2 HB 2.50 and x2 SB 2.50 (my last 2 of those so none wasted). Thanks for the suggestion off here.
I also found some of the 'Bright and Balanced Kids' leaflets with the Colgate Smiles toothpaste 25p coupons etc, in. Has anyone tried this on other toothpaste? Does it work the same as the QK Colgate coupon?
And grabbed a few Warburtons 20p off coupons which were being promoted. Not Tesco ones so should scan on anything. Not a huge amount off but it all helps!Cos I don't shine if you don't shine.0 -
Drat I didnt notice until I got home. I really dont seem to have any luck with the healthcare coupons, three times I have tried doing my £8 shops and three times I have failed and had to do a refund at CS. This afternoon same happened.
I bought two packs of Seven Seas Joint care original glucosamine plus cod liver oil 30 caps, swear blind the SEL said it was BOGOf but the BOGOF has not gone through on the receipt. Please can anyone confirm this? Maybe its on Tesco.com so i can print the page off?
The barcode is 5 012335 851207.
I would normally have taken it back straight away but didnt notice until we got home, complicated shop plus CS ogre on guard at the desk. The other problem is the number of coupons on the recipt

Maybe one of the Tesco peeps can confirm this - on the SEL the barcode of the product will be printed below the price? This should come in handy for proving DtD?_____________________________________________

Its an out of date SEL. That BOGOF ended Tuesday.
You should be able to get a DTD. Good luck.

had 2 great shops in tesco today with the nicky clark stuff.
Each time bought 6 shampoos or conditioners and a bit more shopping.
Used
2 x £2.50 s/b
2 x £2.50 h/b
3 x £1.25 quit
and i handed in 12 x 50 points each time.
Both went through a treat. and each shopping came to just over £3.
Will be going back tomorrow for some more.0
