Buy 2X Nicky Clarke and 1XJF sachet £1.49. Use 1X£2.50Sb and 1X£2.50HB and you end up in credit. You can also use 2X£1.25Q which will leave you with more credit!!!

    Fabulous,I never thought of buying a sachet:rolleyes:

Bit of a mixture for me today. Did a H&B shop with some groceries incl:

    2x Nicky Clarke @ £4.28
    4x VO5 reduced stuff @ 64p
    2x JF sachets @ 99p

I handed over a mixture of H&B and Healthcare coupons even though I did not purchase any healthcare, expecting the SA to hand them back.

He did hand back 2x £2 Healthcare coupons from the QK, but 4 off the £1 Healthcare coupons scanned fine on the above shop!

But... my 50 pointers all scanned as 50p off, I have just noticed on my receipt. Would have preferred the points myself  .

And... I thought I'd slip in the 250pts wyb £10 schoolwear even though I hadn't, and it went through fine, as points.

So a bit of a mixed result, hope this may help others ;) .

    Hi,

I'd like to say a big thank you to all you experts for all your help in reducing the cost of my shopping. I'd always thrown away coupons before but now I know better!

I've posted on the Boots site a few times but Tescoing is soo much better. I don't get huge amounts of money off but I do reduce my bill by a third. I seem to have a good Tesco store where most SA accept all coupons especially on the self scan.

    Today I got;

    2x Colgate advance white @ £2.28 each
    2x Colgate toothbrushes @ £3.48 each
1x mini colgate total @ £0.93 (to make over £12)

    Total: £12.45

    Cost after BOGOF: £6.69

    I used;

    1x £2.50 HB
    2x £1.25 QK
    3x £1.00 HB
    3x £0.40 Colgate QK

    Total money off: £9.20

    So in credit by: £2.51

Also used a till spit for 200 points on health and beauty spend and not only did I get the 200 points but it also shows as taking off £2.00 off my shopping! I know people on here say not to use CC but I need the points and only use it when I've got large point coupons.

So, all in all I got £4.51 off the rest of my shopping. Very pleased. :j

    Hope I did ok.

You have certainly got the hang of it!!!!

Can I ask a silly question?
When using self scan tills what do you do with the coupons?
    Scan them and then what:confused:

    Thanks for the welcome.

    It's not a silly question.

Once you've scanned your coupon there's a slot just to the side of the self scan that says 'coupons' and you just slot them in there. It's in the black moulding near where you put in cash notes. Hope this makes sense.

The problem with the self scanners is that they will only allow a certain amount of coupons for the amount you spend and any others you scan will ask for the supervisors approval. I'm very lucky and the SA have always just authorised them without even checking what they are.

  • Managed to use some of the £2.50 professional haircare vouchers today. Bought the following

    2 Mccadam shampoo @ £6.94
    2 Mccadam conditioner @ £6.94
    1 Nicky Clarke shampoo @ £4.27
    1 Nicky Clarke conditioner @ £4.28

    Total before BOGOF £22.43
    Total after BOGOF £9.96

(BOGOF Glitch of £5.49 for Nicky Clarke and £3.49 for Mccadam)

    Used the following vouchers
    2x£2.50 HB
    2x£2.50 Professional haircare

Leaving a tiny £0.04 in credit - but if you've got QK vouchers left could use another 4 leaving larger credit.

    Hope this helps someone

Nipped in on my way to town this afternoon, had to be quick cos OH was waiting outside...

Bought 2 Dove Summer lotion for 4.98 each (there were no signs up for this saying BOGOF but I decided to just risk it, and till did take it off) and 2 Radox shower gels at 1.48 each. Total pre-BOGOF 12.92, after BOGOF and Radox glitch 5.96. Used 2.50 HB and 2 1.25 QKs, left to pay 96p :D SA looked suprised hehehe :)

Leadhead, I'm upset now - do you mean you've publically dumped me ;)

I was in work today feeling rather uptight as boss was writing up my mid year report so I quickly at lunchtime saw the posts about the nicky clarke stuff and decided to go tescoing after work to cheer myself up LOL. In my handbag I only had 2 x £2.50 SB vouchers and 1 x £1.00 HB. So off I went after work for some tescoing. Unforunately, the store is under construction and they did not sell nicky clarke items  but I did get some elvive and just used a £1 voucher. Have made a note to myself though to stock up my voucher envelope and leave it in my car at all times.

On logging on tonight and receiving 35 emails - I discovered a gem in all the spam. I have won £100 worth of Amazon vouchers for completing a survey on newspapers - that will go nicely towards my Christmas fund.

    Congratulations!!! !!!!
