leadhead is just pure comedy - his posts about 'shoplifting' free boxes of quit packs and hunding down millions of h&b's have me howling every time - this thread would be dull without stories like that from lh and others, and come to think of it - if we all picked up only 1 h&b or quit or whatever, there'd be little point in this thread at all...
Yes i agree, each to their own.
LH tell us how many plax you've accumulated this week? i need a giggle!:A boots tart and tesco chick:A0 -
sarah skint - 12 days to go - how exciting - congratulations!!!! AND you managed the time to do a car boot just days before your wedding - I was run off my feet trying to get everything organised at that stage0

i've given up with the rest lol, mostly all done just wish i could persude the inlaws into the art of couponing then they might not want to come :rotfl:coupon over here, coupon over there, every crack filled with coupons even down there(meaning under the buggy lol):D0

Don't pad out your shopping it's not necessary.. They'll either take the coupons or they wont... Great feeling paying 1p much better than the 0p transactions I've done in the past.... Go girl...
Thanks Kronen,
I'll give it a go on Wednesday - when I know one good SA will be on the till! I'm feeling nervous thinking about it though! Wish me luck!0 -
oh what a silly attitude! Firstly we are a 6 person family and a £60 shop is quite normal and necessary and not just to buy 2 Plax at all you are obviously missing the point. And why should i not be on here, is this the "only allowed on here if you take hundreds of coupons" thread? I think not. However if you had read my other posts you will have seen i used Lotus coupons in my shop as well and there were other coupons but were not relevant to the point so not mentioned, anyway it is an old debate now, your post is wrote in a way to spark an argument and i am not entering into it, move on...........:rolleyes2
Hi there, my local area is ipswich and today and on many occasions i have used the max amount of plax coupons the tills will allow...i find 9/10 times im succesfull in using coupons (not just tesco specific ones)....perhaps once u get to know a regular set of cashiers to use u will also be much more succesful.....greed doesnt come into it...knowing who to avoid does!!0 -
Just got a Tesco joke off my Mum.... This thread is getting a bit heavy figure it needs lightening up a bit!
One day, leaning on the bar, Jack says to Mike
"My elbow hurts like hell. I suppose I'd better see a Doctor!"
"Listen, don't waste your time down at the surgery," Mike replies.
There's a new diagnostic computer at Tesco Pharmacy.
Just give it a urine sample and the computer will tell you what's
wrong and what to do about it. It takes ten seconds and only costs
five quid. a lot quicker, better than a doctor and you get Club card points."
So Jack collects a urine sample in a small jar and takes it to Tesco. He deposits five pounds and the computer lights up and asks for the
urine sample. He pours the sample into the slot and waits.
10 seconds later, the computer ejects a printout:- "You have tennis elbow. Soak your arm in warm water and avoid heavy activity.
It will improve in two weeks."
That evening while thinking how amazing this new technology was,
Jack began wondering if the computer could be fooled. He mixed some tap water, a stool sample from his dog, urine samples from his wife, daughter
and the cat, and masturbated into the mixture for good measure.
Jack hurried back to Tesco, eager to check what would happen He deposited five pounds, poured in his concoction, and awaited the results.
The computer printed the following:-
1) Your tap water is too hard. Get a water softener.
2) Your cat's having kittens. Get a vet.
3) Your dog has ringworm. Bathe him with anti-fungal shampoo.
4) Your daughter has a cocaine habit. Get her into rehab.
5) Your wife is pregnant. Twins. They aren't yours. Get a lawyer.
6) And if you don't stop playing with yourself, your elbow will never get better.
Thank you for shopping at Tesco

Thanks for your advice, i agree i could get more freebies IF I WANTED to, but i don`t, this is the point, I AM HAPPY with just a few freebies at each shop thankyou . I have no problem using the coupons i do use and i already know who to avoid in my locals.:)0 -
Generally Leadhead i would absolutely agree with you, but MSE is about sharing, give and take, not just take take take...
"But i often wonder if there are people in my area, who would benefit from me leaving them(i do give coupons to a few in my area)."
I expect they have previously read about what you do on here and don`t even bother as they don`t stand a chance, what about those who can only get out once a week due to health problems etc, what chance do they have of benefiting with you around!
Nobody knows which area i am in.......what a load of crap you spout, you havent a clue as to my circumstances.....but if it makes you and your two alies happy, then if looking after me and mine to the best of my ability is being greedy....then yes I am greedy.......and this IS my final word onthe matter.Couponing....."every little hurts"

I don't base my holidays to the UK just on tesco though heh its just an extra bonus so that we can save a little here and there and trust me it helps
Was in a Tesco a fortnight ago with 14 Radox on the belt, heard a tannoy announcement about Salmon portions reduced...20pence each....got a box of 24 and stuck two extra coupons in with the Radox glitch and got my salmon fillets for free.....they're beautiful.....£10 a kilo you say....thats expensive.Couponing....."every little hurts"
