QUOTE Only managed 28 Plax yesterday, used extra coupons on 14 to make up my shortfall on a clothes shop I combined with, & on the other 14 I used 14 Plax & 4 x £2.50's so £4.89 off shopping I think put extra groceries in so paid 70p for that one... All plax hidden under clothes.. not through guilt.. I have none... Just to avoid the rule of 6. QUOTE

Hi Kronen - can you tell me if there is a rule of 6? I wasn't aware of that at all.

I have managed a few plax shops so far this week but have only put through a maximum of 4 at a time. I was feeling brave doing this! When you say you managed 28 plax did you do this all in one shop? Or did you break it down into smaller shops but on the same belt?

I would be interested to know just how many of the same product people try to get at any one time in just one shop. Or do people try and break their shops up on the belt and pay separately? I have been breaking up my shops in this way and saying 'the next lot are mine too but I'm paying separately 'cos they're for my mum'! :p

Do you think I need to do this or should I try and get a lot of products in just the one bigger shop?

I am finding it hard though to bulk out my shops with things I actually need. I haven't got to the stage yet where I dare only pay pence after bagging up loads of products! Any advise will be greatfully received! :j

    Thanks, Narla x

Hi, I think Leadheads summed this up very well... One of my stores does have a 6 of each product policy, I was pulled with 14 Radox the last h&b round, but got away with it as had different fragrances.

Yes, I've been doing 14 Plax in 1 transaction.. using 14 plax, 4 x £2.50's roughly £4.89 off shopping.. Padded each one to around £5.00 so paid 10p & under for each... (could have had more off but saving £1.00's & qp's that I have left after sharing with a few & friends & family)

Risky putting a big shop through if you don't know the cashier or store policy as supervisor may be called & reject some of your coupons.. Either cancel the whole lot, as I do or cough up the money... Not my style to pay anything above pennies... .

I have been pulled for breaking my shops up... 6 on the belt.. taking dividers from desks nearby... I've little time, so do as much as I can whilst I'm there, but smaller probably is better for not being recognised & going unnoticed.

Don't pad out your shopping it's not necessary.. They'll either take the coupons or they wont... Great feeling paying 1p, much better than the 0p transactions I've done in the past.... Go girl...
  • Does anyone want to sell me some of the QK vouchers? And HnB if you got? I will pay in stamps or cash, your choice ;)

Well as I've said before...I think taking anymore than 10 (even that seems a bit steep) is bloody greedy if you ask me..and taking a whole box? i don't care how giving a person is that's just way over the top! Leave some for people who really need it because they can't always aford everything they need and those vouchers can really help a household sometimes.

Hell, my husband and I didn't get to go on summer holiday at all this year because we had a few huge bills that we didn't expect and out went our holiday money we had saved :(
Thanks kindly to my in-laws who felt bad and gave us some money so we have a nice few days in London.
WHEN we get the chance to go to the UK (I'm in Norway as some of you know) and try to go to the UK a few times a year (thanks to cheap ferry rides or plane tickets) WHEN we can afford it of course.. to buy some things that we need and that we wont have to buy for awhile at home.

I envy you guys who have shops like ASDA and Tesco's because we don't have vouchers here OR stores even as big as those and we live month to month on our paychecks.
Anyways...enough of this..my point is I wouldn't be so greedy as to take so many vouchers..I know we all love to save but I'm telling you..if it keeps up with people going overboard..Soon their will be NO MORE to take because they won't make them anymore! :(

I also didnt get a holiday this year and live month to month but thats irrevelant to a tesco thread. I live in NI and we dont get any H&B coupons in ANY of our stores but thats irrevelant also because I choose to live here so how can I complain that we dont get a certain voucher even though it is the same chain....

But, I dont have a problem with anyone taking what they want, I dont know anyone else in 'real life' that uses these coupons and if I choose to take e=advantage of Tescos then thats up to me, No one is stopping anyone else doing the same, maybe you just have to look harder for the vouchers etc.
  • I think fish is a lot cheaper in Norway than tesco's.

Take a look at the middle section of your receipt, I think it will show the decuction there, not at the bottom with the coupons.
No, nothing there either. I don't think anything came off.

Absolutely, i read your previous posts like this too and thought to myself then, what am i doing going to Tescos nearly every day, waiting till my partner gets home to look after the kids so i can go out and get a few free items, there is more to life than that, i do have a life!:)

Hi.. Just reading back seems like you have a problem with a few taking so many coupons... Please correct me if I'm wrong... I travelled 80 miles on Friday & only visited 2 stores in the 5 hours I was out, it can take alot of time hovering about & biding your time for the magic grab... My first post perhaps wasn't clear (concerning my load I got of 195) that I did leave a pile but where they were being watched, so great for yourself that only wants to take 1 or 2.... I never would have done this without reading Leadhead's inspiring posts.... I never got 1 last time but it was because of Leadhead's generosity, that I was fortunate & also able to feed my kids for free... Releasing funds for other things...

We all have different circumstances & it is great that you can spend £60 on your shopping just to buy 2 Plax... I can't understand why you are on here if all you want to do is use 2 Plax coupons. The first post of this thread is about how to combine coupons, so dosen't that tell you something...

Well I don't buy fish in Tesco's hehe wouldn't be good by the time I/we got home but the only thing i can think of that we have better is Salmon which is on sale 2,3 times a year at about 10 quid a kilo.

I don't base my holidays to the UK just on tesco though heh its just an extra bonus so that we can save a little here and there and trust me it helps ;)

oh what a silly attitude! Firstly we are a 6 person family and a £60 shop is quite normal and necessary and not just to buy 2 Plax at all you are obviously missing the point. And why should i not be on here, is this the "only allowed on here if you take hundreds of coupons" thread? I think not. However if you had read my other posts you will have seen i used Lotus coupons in my shop as well and there were other coupons but were not relevant to the point so not mentioned, anyway it is an old debate now, your post is wrote in a way to spark an argument and i am not entering into it, move on...........:rolleyes2

leadhead is just pure comedy - his posts about 'shoplifting' free boxes of quit packs and hunding down millions of h&b's have me howling every time - this thread would be dull without stories like that from lh and others, and come to think of it - if we all picked up only 1 h&b or quit or whatever, there'd be little point in this thread at all...
  • when i first started all this coupon stuff, i only took the odd one or two coupons, but as the brain copes with a severe overload sometimes on maths, I know grab as many as i can and stuff them where i can whilst picking up other bits, a carseat with the bub in is a good example:D

Between me and the OH we went in with our 4 kids and had 2 quit boxes away, there were 10 out on display and 2 days later 7 were still there.................I have enough of those quit packs and the school have benfitted in the stickers. As for the h n b , well leadhead and i have swapped in the past when I have not found them and i am very greatful but in my opinion if i see them i will take them everytime as if i don't someone else will, Of course if i get overrun I will offer to those without I didn't get loads whilst out on sat, but i got enough for a couple of weeks, I am bribing a family member to get some as well.
As for those that asked, yes I did my carboot today with toiletries and lets just say I made a fair whack, my reward for going out of my way when it comes to coupons - and with 12 days until I get married, I think I need a sign that says sponsored by tescos :rotfl:
coupon over here, coupon over there, every crack filled with coupons even down there
    (meaning under the buggy lol):D
