hi there - might be being daft - but what's PTS??

    thanks

PTS is Paid To Shop......................better watch how i describe it.....

Its a site like MSE dedicated to saving money by using coupons and codes, vouchers and special offers, It also has a section that (UNLIKE MSE) allows people to give away and swap coupons......heres a link

    http://www.paidtoshop.co.uk/forum/index.php
  • For anyone planning their shopping lists for next week, saw a memo in store today about Plax mouthwash. From Monday its coming off BOGOF and going to half price instead. Obviously we'll still be able to use the coupons but worth knowing if you like to have your lists prepared before you go shopping.

if I find them Ill use them but I defo wouldn't be buying any from ebay, goes against my Idea of moneysaving. (IMO) Anyway hold out and Im sure you'll get some.

I agree usually about getting them off ebay but I've asked nicely a few times in the past and no one even offered so my last chance was ebay. I paid a few quid for 4 sheets to be shipped to me here in Norway. I can't just rush on out to a Tesco and pick a few up when these things come out like you guys.
I go to the UK a few times a year to get shampoo and conditioner etc. (as well as enjoy the beautiful cities) because we pay 4-5 quid for a 200 ml bottle of sunsilk (for example) so I like to save alittle when I visit back in the UK and shop for good deals :)
I'm not greedy and even if I lived there i wouldn't take alot of the coupons anyways because that's just bad carma and it's saying something if these people are now "watching over" the areas where the vouchers are but hey that's just my opinion heh :confused:

Good & bad.. Just got back from coupon hunting & found I'd received a pm from the Coupon King my Fiance LH & he was going to share half his load with me that he'd got... Now thinking you do owe me LH but can't remember what for  Or maybe you really do love me & the engagement is on... :o Maybe I should have done housework instead of coupon hunting after being offered your load....

Anyway in total 80 mile around trip, first stop... nabbed a lonely 1 in a trolley, 1 in a bin (well not elegant of me to do so) Filled up with wombled 5p fuel coupon...Then travelled 30 miles away at a store I'd never hit.. I was amazed at the size of it, upstairs too. Dem desk nabbed the lot apart from 1 incase cameras were looking down, pharmacy desk had stacks on but too many staff behind... went back to dem desk... they'd put more out.. straight into my trolley then bag for life... Then saw woman nab what looked like around 10 very quickly from pharmacy & swiftly went to fruit & veg placing them on top of leaflets, I followed her as wanted to say hi:hello: but she dissapeared into thin air (11.00 o'clock I think) Pharmacy desk in the clear nabbed the lot apart from a couple, back to dem desk... thought this is a joke... a set up as more put out... took them... Went & paid for 2 boxes of cereal with coupons out Tesco mag & left... watching behind me for security... 173 in total...

Stopped at another store & grabbed what was left on bottom shelf of dem desk which was 20, so with yesterdays 4 now I have 199... Now the hard part is getting them accepted...

I'm proud to be a coupon thief (whoops I mean coupon queen)

Good Luck to you all & if you do it big do it in style.....

lol well done kronen!!! You dont live near the north east do you because they either havent put them out yet or someones nabbed them all - i would love to be able to pay people back for the last lot i was given by a generous gentleman but i just cant find a da*n one! *cough - not stepping on toes honest* :D:D

I have to say.. I am all for people saving money don't get me wrong but with people grabbing so many vouchers it ruins it for some of us.
No wonder some folks don't find any in their locals!
I think there is a difference between saving some quid and taking advantage of " the system" and sooner or later the vouchers will stop and then we will really be S.O.L :(

I do apologise for taking so many but not done you out of any as I never travelled to Norway today :rotfl: .... Also had IOU's to fulfill so shared the love, I also may swap some nearer expiry so helping others again.. I'm such a goddess... So many people discard them anyway... I did put the mileage in today so I sure as hvll wasn't leaving with 1 not my style..

You also bought 4 qp's from Ebay with the intention of getting stuff for free... so can't see the difference, your still taking advantage of the system but not in the style us real mse's do it...

Maybe if you'd pm'd me asking for a few instead of critisizing my naughty ways :D ... & lets face it a lot do it but I just bragged... You may have been in luck...

Happy hunting... & if you're going to do it do it in style...

    LOL *K*

Like I said..I asked (recently) no one offered. AND yes I'm in Norway but I do visit the UK a few times to year and I don't buy tons of stuff. I buy just enough to last my husband and myself until the next time we visit the UK..we both have hair down to the middle of backs so we need quite a bit of the shampoo and conditioner  I don't go overboard I just use the coupons to save us some money not always getting stuff for "free" but as Tesco says..every bit helps! Norway doesn't have vouchers for stores..the cheap O's! :p heck most bottles are 200 ml which makes me  I swear I'm retiring to ENGLAND! :rotfl:

Am not being picky here but you asked at 11 pm last night.

Now, less than 24 hours later, you're saying no one offered.

Maybe no one offered because the vast majority of us actually havn't got any! (me included btw)

  • Do you get the coupons in Scotland, have never found any and no pharmacy counters in my 4 nearest stores? Had to buy 4 x 4 coupons of ebay after reading this thread just to try it out, what a scream, friend and I got Nicky Clarke and dove for next to nothing at beginning of the month. Does anyone have a spare one or tell me how to get some... PLEASE
  • I have to admit I wonder whether my local store will put out any at all this time around. Last time there were only a few, jealously guarded on the pharmacy, then despite claiming to have run out, another small pile appeared 2 days before they expired. Previously they were out on stands, but each time around they seem to be more and more unwilling to let cutomers get any H&B.

I've hobbled around my store 3 times this week with a broken toe and badly bruised foot, all for naught.. even managed to talk oh into looking for me last night, but still no joy. I can't drive just now [had to today and paying the price now] so will have to keep pestering oh to visit Mr T's until my patience/suffering.. and his :D .. is finally rewarded.

I really do *need* some Tresemme, Pantenne, Eden Range, Mitchum.............. and Plax.. honest I do..;)

**Patty** you on that sofa with wine again... they'd actually asked at 10.59am yesterday morning... only Debbie had reported finding some at that time.... Thought it a laugh asking so early but kept stoom as must be nice to all moneysavers.

Such a shame that if we are only allowed to take 1 from now on we just wont be able to help our dear friend out & may not even see them on Ebay anymore.
