She says that if there was a site that could bring up a list of people living in that town with that name she would reconise the street name and his sirname instantly..she knows he has 2 little girls also.

has she tried friends reunited (if they went to school together or she knows where he went to school) alternatively facebook if she knows any of his friends' or acquaintances' full names.
If she'd recognise the street name and its not a huge city - why not brwose over a map online to see if anything jumps out.0 -
Does she know anything other than the first name?0

No, she can't remember his sirname and she didn't go to school with him so don't know where he went to school. Told her I doubt im gonna have alot of luck!

She could write to a local paper and appeal for information.0

How did she know him, and does he have interests which might help? Eg if he playend a sport she could search on the internet for the town plus the sport plus the christian name and follow up clues. Otherwise do they have mutual friends about whom she knows more that she could track down and see if they were still in touch? Finally how about looking at a map of the town and identifying the street, then using a search engine to pull up names of people living on the street to see if that helps0

Have you tried Friend Reunited if you know somewhere they worked, age, where they went to school, streets they lived on etc etc .One day I might be more organised...........
