Which is More Valuable, Apple or Wales?

WalesHow many Grand Slams has Apple won ??'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0

WalesI'd have Wales. For a start I live there so the logistics would be easier for me, but mainly because of all the ways I could re-purpose (parts of) it.If you think of it as 'us' verses 'them', then it's probably your side that are the villains.0

WalesReminds me of Warren Buffett (I think) who asked whether it would be preferable to own all the gold in the world (which would fit in a swimming pool) or all the productive farmland in the US.
I went for Wales - I like Apple kit but don't trust people to keep thinking their stuff is cool in perpetuity and the tech industry is still highly destructive. I'm certain Wales will still be around in 20 years.0 -
It's a sad state of affairs when a company that sells overpriced designer goods is one of the most wealthy in the world.0

WalesWales, in a heartbeat. OK, it's a ridiculous comparison, but let's fast forward by 20/40/100 years - access to loads of fertile farmland, copious pure drinking water, coal, hydro-electricity, wind power, loads of fishing coastland, there's no comparison.
Fashions come and go, Apple are in fashion.0 -

Why is that sad? Doesn't it show that we generally have a high standard of living such that we have large disposable incomes to waste on iPads?
I guess in your ideal world the "wealthiest" company in the world would sell that shiny grease-proof non-adsorbent toilet paper they used to have back in the good old days when bin men could buy a three bedroom house outright with one week's pay and still have enough change left over for a pint of mild in the local to celebrate.0 -

Surely it will still be full of Welsh people in 20/40/100 years though?0 -
