Faulty electric blanket, who should I be dealing with?

So around the 15th of October I purchased an electric blanket from an ebay store (dreamland brand), and today it stopped working. The controller light just blinks and it doesn't produce heat. I have already left the seller feedback.
According to the back of the box, there is a 2 year guarantee on the product. It has only been 4 months and 3 weeks. The product cost £57.99
I paid with paypal, I don't have a physical receipt. I have googled "dreamland flashing controller light" and it seems to be a common issue.
Should I be dealing with the manufacturer or the ebay shop? And should I be paying for return shipping or should they be reimbursing me for it?

Your contract is with the retailer who sold the item to you so your rights to redress are also with them.
The retailer can offer to repair, replace or refund - it is their choice which to offer. They should cover all the costs (including shipping) and whatever remedy they offer it shouldn't be too inconvenient to you.Common sense?...There's nothing common about sense!0 -
However, if the manufacturer has offered a 2 year warranty, then you could contact them instead. The warranty is in addition to your statutory rights against the retailer. You can choose which option you prefer. If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0 -
If its faulty, the retailer is liable for costs incurred due to the breach (such as postage, labour etc).
If you go to the manufacturers, theres a chance they may require you to pay the postage (not all manufacturers do).You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0
