Seems you have ended up on one of these lists for some reason?

Tweeted James Jones and Experian Experts, and hopefully they will get back with some more info on exactly what that means and what can be done if it shouldn't - I presume - be there.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

I think that is something different; it's a list of individuals subject to Financial Sanctions that you can't do business with.
As far as I'm aware, a politically exposed person, is a prominent public official of some kind. You can do business with them; but you are supposed to keep your eyes open when you do so, just in case they start laundering back-handers through your business.0 -
The power needs to sort this out directly with Experian and Equifax. It may be a mistake owing to 'similar names' etc but the poster may have connections that they have not, and may not want to mention here.
A PEP is someone who is potentially vulnerable - it is quite acceptable to do business with them but the lender/provider must ensure that all proper due diligence is undertaken and that is what the CRA marker is for - it is to assist the potential lender.0 -
Hi dazman189i applied for credit today and they said that this was on my credit rating, any idea what this means please
I would really like to help you with this one dazman189 to establish why this happened when you applied for your Experian Credit Report.
Could you please email me your details (name/dob/address) this will help determine if the reason relates to a employment (background) check than credit check.
Regards
James Jarvis“Official Company Representative
