It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.

Can get a wallet that blocks the signal if you are worried - don't keep applying for cards, will start to get rejections - leave it a few months before new applications

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Why so paranoid? Does anyone know anyone personally who had had funds taken through contactless payments? Contactless is fine and is a £20 limit a time.

I have credit cards with Vanquis and Tesco Bank. Neither of them credit cards are contactless.

If I remember correctly neither are Nationwide cards.
  • A credit card by definition cannot be contactless. You probably mean a contactless debit card.

    What do you mean?

There are many different brands of contactless credit cards available from many different banks.
