Any forumites with recent experience say which banks allow you to initiate the current account switching service without paper signature (through internet banking or https form).

I did a switch from coop to santander and it was all done online.

The problem is individual circumstances can be different, as you may not pass their online identification verification and so will be requested for more proof usually by going to a branch. So just because it worked for me doesn't mean it will work for you.

I don't know of any that require a paper signature.

Halifax have an online form and M&S let you do it via telephone..

First direct do the switch on the phone, although I had to receive some T&Cs, then call them to confirm I agreed with them entirely. I'm pretty sure Halifax let me switch entirely online (although my memory might be failing me there.)

I am hoping to do the FD switch soon - account open but you have 3 months to do it. Was hoping they might restore the £125 (rather than £100 offer).

Also were FD fussy about it being a main account - I quoted my main longstanding account in my online application (as I am aware FD can be fussier who they accept). But presumably they didn't mind you switching a different donor/other account - if applicable.

I switched from RBS to Nationwide without any paper signatures. All done online.

The account I switched to FD had been set up explicitly for the purpose of switching, and getting me the bonus. No one asked me any questions about it, it didn't have any direct debits, and it had about £100 in it.
