Hi I have quote from a local carpenter for a fitted wardrobe 4 doored concealed sections 1st and 2nd section upper shelf with double hanging 4th section shelved spaced. Wardrobe with backs and sides made of MDF painted washable paint, also removal of old fitted wardrobe and disposed off approx £1800.00.Thats every thing

Is this fair I am so out of touch with these sort of things

I'm paying £2k for three metres of custom fitted wardrobes inc full height hanging, half height, shelving, shelf running around the top etc made of softwood (can't remember the type but good quality with MDF inserts in a shaker style and then two metres Of open shelving. Lot of work and completely unique to my loft so pretty good value I think?!

I had done almost 4 years ago a bespoke/ made to measure unit to fit into a recessed with full height mirror door and internally pull out shoe shelves at around £800 by Clive Anderson Furniture, really pleased with it still looks like new, material that they have used really good quality and also I had push open mirror door instead of handle, to be honest after so many years no problem with it. The prices that you have been quoted sound reasonably and also what I will suggest check reviews about the company this way will help to ensure that you will have a good end product and also a good price
