Old missed payments from 2006/7. Why are they still there?

Hi guys & gals,
One quick question. I noticed that some missed payments from a Barclaycard account I closed 5 years ago are still appearing.
The account isn't listed as one of my current or past addresses, just a linked address (Where I lived until 2008).
Is it just a simple case of contacting Equifax and asking them to remove them? I thought they'd be long gone by now!!

Cheers,
James.

The data will remain for 6 years from the date the account was settled.
So in this instance the account will remain until Sept/Oct 2016.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0
