Unset jelly. Can I use it?

I make jelly with lemonade all the time (it stays fizzy when it sets - yum!) Unless the lemonade you used had some weird ingredient in it I wouldn't have thought it was that (I always use all lemonade and no water to make mine and never had a problem)
Was the water plus lemonade more liquid than you would usually add?
Or maybe it's the chemicals in the artificial sweeteners. I use 7UP as it's the only lemonade you can buy that doesn't have them nowadays
You could try it with fizzy spring water instead?Don’t try to keep up with the Jones’s. They are broke!0 -
It was just bog standard 17p/2L lemonade. I have used it before and got slightly fizzy jelly. The bit that was left over still hasn't set. And definitely not too much liquid.
Perhaps it was fizzy water I used last time when it did work.
Actually, just having a think, it was a vegetarian jelly (crystals) that I used. Maybe that's why? Mind you,it's the same brand I always use!
I can feel some breakfast smoothies coming on, made with the last of the jelly and some frozen bananas.Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...:D:D
