Unset jelly. Can I use it?

I decided to make some jelly with fruit in it for the kids last night. Had a flash of misguided inspiration and made it with some boiling water, then topped it up with lemonade as I thought it would be lovely.
Roll on to today and it still hasn't set. It's just like slightly thick liquid. Dipping a finger in it tastes delicious. It has sliced peaches in it which probably will be yummy with ice cream if I fish them out, but what can I use the runny jelly for?
I know it is only 50p worth, but I don't like throwing anything away. Apart from perhaps using it in smoothies, I have no clue.

Any ideas anyone?

Never heard of jelly made with lemonade?
I made a blackcurrent jelly yesterday with half a pint of boiling water and just under half a pint of cold water.

Sounds like you added to much liquid. Drink it or bin it?

Jelly with lemonade is yummy. You could make up another jelly using half the required liquid, then mix the two together......?

Teetotal here, and the kids wouldn't appreciate the strong stuff either!

Good idea PixieDust. I have another jelly in the cupboard so I think I will do just that. And I didn't add too much liquid, so no idea why it didn't set. I measured it exactly (or at least I was sure that I did!).

Okay. Mixed up lemon jelly with half the amount of liquid and whisked it with the unset strawberry jelly. Tastes yum and looks like it'll definitely set this time.
I tell you what though ... I fished the peaches out of the unset jelly where they had been lurking all night. DD1 and I had a sneaky taste. Flippin' heck!! One of the nicest things I have ever tasted! Almost worth making the jelly wrong! Looking forward to eating jelly, fruit and ice cream later.

I seem to remember that some fruits will prevent the jelly from setting, I know kiwi fruit is one, maybe peaches are another.
You could always wizz it up with some cream or angel whip.

Why not pour it into lolly moulds and freeze? :)

Peaches definitely aren't the cause. We love them in jelly. I think it must've been the lemonade. Who knows?

Well, we will never know if it would have ever set. After being in the fridge for about three hours it was still exactly the same as when I put it in. We couldn't wait any longer and had it with fruit and ice cream. The kids and I agreed that it was probably one of the tastiest desserts ever.

Its the enzymes apparently ...fresh kiwi fuit causes the jelly not to set as well ...I'm talking as the voice of experience here!
