A Little Advice for me please!

Hi,
I'll try to explain everything as best I can, but its a little vague for me to.
I think it begins in 2009, where an apparant Mobile Phone Contract was taken out in my name. Now I genuinly cannot remember doing this myself, however the company is adamant that I took it out online and that I was responsible.
The contract was taken out from T-Mobile, and was completed online. When the contract was originally taken, I would have only been 16 years old, therefor too young for a contract to be taken.
Subsequently this contract seems to have been "defaulting" for a couple of YEARS, yes YEARS! Until Mid 2013 where I received a letter from a company named Sigma Red. They are a debt collector agency who said they'd bought my debt from T-Mobile. I tried to explain the situation, and that I'd not received any communication from T-Mobile what so ever.
They offered me a half price debt payment to clear the file, however I wanted to get some advice. By the time I'd spoken to my parents they'd withdrawn the offer and said it had now doubled as they'd applied for court or something. I paid it off in full on 17/06/2013.
I've dealt with this since then, but the ways in which this is effecting me is now having serious side effects. I can't get a loan to help pay for insurance, so I have to pay extortionate monthly repayments to the Insurer, rather than repaying a bank load. My bank wont give me the loan.
I know this has been a massive post, but I wanted to give as much info as possible.
I would seriously appreciate any help and advice regarding this. Is there anything I can do?
Edit - If you need any more information, or need me to answer anything to help you advise me better I would be happy to do so. Again I can't thank you enough for taking your time to try and help me.
Thanks,
Wilks3y.

if the debt was genuine of which you are unsure
then the default will stay for 6 years on your credit files
in the mean time the best thing to do is to save up for things you want
get copies of all three credit files so you know what they say0 -

thats not true, If he was under 18 at the time then he would have case for getting it removed0 -

Hey,
Sorry I may not have explained properly. I was saying that I, personally, didn't start the contract. Even if I did, why was it allowed to go through as clearly I was under the correct age?
Do I have any ground to try and get this disputed?
Or should I just accept it and struggle through for the next 6 years?
Thanks0 -

This was my arguement. I'm unsure where/who and why the contract was created. But it was obviously started with false details as if I were to have used my correct details it would have been denied?
I'm at a loss as to what to do
Thanks,

First thing get your credit files from all three agencies, and see whats written on them
Then send a "prove it letter" templates on here somewhere and get them to prove you owe the debt.
I would also raise disputes with the CRA's stating what youve said here that you have no knowledge of the debt and that you would have been 16 at the time it was taken out0 -

Hey,
Thanks
I'll have a look into doing this. I don't want to sound silly but is there an agency or something that can help me do this?
Thanks,

Call credit, Experian and Equifax will have details on their sites as to how to raise disputes0
