FTB - 95% LTV, can a broker help?

    I'm working on a 95% HTB - MG case with PO.

    First one.

    Affordability calculator said they would lend £324k based on basic salaries alone.

    Did the DIP for £305k and it went to refer. Underwriter came back and said it failed on affordability. I'm now going back with bonus data to get them to reconsider.

    Some lender affordability calculators are a joke and can't be relied on.

    Thanks guys, I have managed to get a couple of broker recommendations from friends on Facebook so will start there and get their advice as to whether or not we're likely to have much in the way of options.

    Still have the bank appointment next week anyway which we'll keep so we'll see how things play out - and fingers crossed we can go house hunting soon :j
