Plaster not quite dry, can I still paint it?

We've had 2 chimney breasts taken out and the whole of downstairs bonded where necessary and skimmed.
It's been two weeks now and everywhere is more or less dry apart from where the thick plaster went on over where the chimney breasts were. It is mainly dry but there are some darker patches.
My question is - Can I go ahead and do the mistcoat using Dulux supermatt, or do I need to wait until it is all totally dry? We're going on holiday soon and want to get as much done before we leave.
Thanks

There is a paint you can buy to paint over wet plaster, or plaster that is drying out, I cant remember what its called.
But personally I would wait for it to completely dry as you have had it bonded as well as skimmed.
Might be worth your while leaving it till you come back off your holiday.0 -
I'd leave it as long as possible - I suppose you could do everywhere that is dry and just do the chimney when you get back?0
