Papa John's Vent

A few weeks ago, I ordered a pulled pork pizza from Papa Johns which came with three pieces of pulled pork, and a few pieces of chicken. It lacked all the other toppings it was meant to come with (flaked chillis, chilli cheese), but I was starving and ate it anyway, rather than wait an hour or so for a replacement.
I did, however, take a photo of it, because it was pretty shoddy and I notified PJ through the customer contact form on their site. I wasn't expecting anything other than an acknowledgement, requests for photos, and an assurance that they'd chase it up with the franchise holder and get them to sort it out... I mean... what's going on in their ingredients trays if chicken and pulled pork are getting mixed up.
Instead I heard nothing at all for over a week.
I tweeted PJ to see if anything would happen, and a day later I got an email from a customer services rep who asked for further information and promised he'd get back to me. Two weeks have passed and I have heard precisely nothing.
I wouldn't normally be annoyed, except that they're now banging on about "Papa's Guarantee" that promises quality or a free pizza. They can't even provide basic closure on a complaint, or the toppings they advertise.
I think i'll make my own pizza next time.
Vent over.

I recently complained about a pizza that took over an hour to arrive, was supposed to be Tandoori chicken but had no chicken on it, no raita drizzle, and was cold.
Received a stock answer...'sorry we didnt arrive within 45 mins'
That was from a website complaint form.
I then emailed info@papajohn.chtah.com and complained again and received a more personalised response
Unfortunately I hadnt called the shop back at the time as i was hungry so i'd heated the pizza up and ate it. More fool me.
They gave me a 50% off next order voucher, which was a voucher that was readily available to the public at the time :rotfl:
Lesson learned, i wont be ordering Papa Johns again0 -
I got fed up with all these rip off pizza companies.
Asia do a build your own pizza.
Choice of bases. Choose your sauce from 3 different ones. Chose 4 toppings , choose chilli 🌶 or garlic oil to drizzle over your pizza.
All for £2:80
Take it home pop it in the oven for 15 min ...hey presto a fresh pizza for a fraction of the cost of one from these franchise rip off merchantsjust because you are paranoid doesnt mean to say they are not out to get you0 -

I find this quite surprising, we used to use PJ pizza about 5 years ago and the service and pizzas were always excellent. I think they must be franchised which can mean the quality is obviously hit and miss.Thinking critically since 1996....0

I think you'll find that option is available in other geographies too.

I kicked off once at Papa Johns in our town... they sent us two of the same pizza even though we ordered two different types (both of the type that had toppings I can't eat on). Then the replacement they sent was a third one of the type I couldn't eat... absolute disaster. Haven't ordered from them since and left them a review on Google... All the way through when we spoke to the store they refused to acknowledge any issue and at one point even said "No, your pizzas are in the oven, you can't change your order" when we had them in our hands!£2023 in 2023 challenge - £17.79 January0

Franchises are always up and down in my experience. I always try to support the smaller company.
It sounds like they handled your case really bad.0
