bus lane fine - any point appealing?

Just got a penalty notice, £60 for driving along a bus lane in Manchester at lunchtime last week. Photo evidence shows me trundling along.
I actually remember moving into the bus lane because it was lunchtime and most round here are only peak time 7 till 10 then 4 till 6 so I assumed it was ok.
Went for a look tonight and the signs do say 7am till 7pm.

Would an appeal of "thought it was ok at lunch" have any chance of success, or just take it on the chin and pay the reduced £30 within 14 days?

I'm afraid not just cough up the £30, you were caught red handed. I am guessing Oldham road (a phantom for catching folk out. ;)

It was Parrs Wood lane in Didsbury next to the cinema.

wow £30 for bus lane fine. Some places. Parking at the Excel centre is £15. I wish london bus lane fines were £30 - I'd use them all the time.

bus lanes are generally watertight, they have all their bases covered. You can go inspector morse and trawl through their documents and look for a procedural impropriety. I got out of a ticket once because they mispelt the road on the TRO
