I call all my DGC by assorted pet names, ie sweetie, ratbag, or !!!!!!lugs, that way they don't realise I can't remember their names. My grandmother always called me Ivyeileensue, working her way through the family until she got to me.
I'd have let my kids go to nursery in PJ's too, my motto was always 'don't sweat the small stuff'.
Enjoy you peace and quiet Monna.
Mardatha, it wasn't unusual then though was it.

Mar I can't imagine sharing a privy with that many people!

SS I'm a big believer in pj's being a comfort. I once let my teen daughter wear her flannel pajama bottoms and a t-shirt to go with me to rent a movie. She also had on huge fluffy kitty cat slippers. :D We were perusing selections when a lady made a very rude remark. (I use the word lady loosely) Of course my daughter, being a teenager, thought it was hilarious. I too have the precept of why sweat the small things. We just stood and smiled at her. She was quite disconcerted by our reaction.

Would you have believed nearly July and it's only 14 degrees the hottest it will be probably even in July. NO LASTING HEAT IN JULY according to my local weather forecast. It will not even hit 15 degrees for a week, nor will it stop raining.

Is it any better with you mar?

I can't imagine going out in PJs it is far too cold. I have wondered if we are evolving to wear PJs all the time ever since DS and I saw a women in her PJs and dressing gown at about 7.30pm on a Saturday night. She was waiting to cross the road among lots of other people in the middle of town. I can't remember where we were going but I know it was winter.

Now, PVC pjs, there's a new one!

I love my pjs but don't go out in them, unless it's dark and the neighbours ask me over for a gin!

You need a Colin. I have a dressing gown that is so large, thick and furry that I thought it deserved a name. Colin. Colin has saved me from needing heating the past 8 winters. He's like my own personal duvet and I love him very much.

I have two softstuff one purple with spots on and a red one with reindeers all over. Never thought of giving them names. I often thInk the red one should belong to Santa but he is not having it it is just like you describe yours and it has kept me warm in the evenings ever since I have been on this cancer treatment. The treatment doesn't help me maintain my normal body temperature.

Apparently even down south it has not been much warmer. It's that bl00dy Jetstream again. We could get stuck with it all summer.

I noticed someone had put on their heating opposite us. I have turned my heater back on here in the living room but it won't get warm until tomorrow or even the next day. Need the heating to dry clothes anyway they just don't dry in all this wet weather.
