Is there a way of checking first?

I have been a member of Credit Expert (Experian) and Equifax for several years. Over the last 5 years or so I have had 3 car loans, 2 credit cards and a mortgage.
These were all successful applications, but there were also a few refusals along the way.
I have come to realise that all the successful applications that I made were to companies that use Equifax; whereas all the knock-backs were from companies that use Experian.
My question is; is there a way of checking which credit reference agency a company uses before applying for credit? Perhaps a list of companies under Experian or Equifax for example?
Also, is an applicant able to demand a particular credit reference agency is used during the application?
Does the applicant (consumer) have the right to know which credit reference agency will be used, and if so shouldn't it be disclosed on company websites for all to see?

    Whats that £15 a month each? = £30

    x12 = £360 a year

    x 'several years' lets say 5 years £1800!!!!

    Wow thats a lot of money for information that you could have got for £2 a pop on the six times you have needed credit!! £2 x3 (one for each CRA) = £6 x 6 Total £36!
    £1000 Emergency fund No90 £1000/1000
    LBM 28/1/15 total debt - [STRIKE]£23,410[/STRIKE] 24/3/16 total debt - £7,298
