Admin fee to change a booking after 5 minutes.

Booked a train ticket to London yesterday but 2 minutes later I realised that I'd booked it for Friday instead of Thursday due to using fat fingers on a touch screen, was really peeved at having to pay £10 to change the date even though I hadn't printed any tickets off and it was literally noticed within 2 minute and it was all sorted within 5 minutes.

Yup that's what happens with them. got to be really careful

When I've booked trains in the past, it's given a confirmation screen before actually taking the booking. Was this step missing? It may improve your case if you can show you're using the operator's official app and it doesn't ask you to confirm before billing you.

Otherwise, I imagine it costs the same to amend a booking after 2 minutes as it does after 2 days

Credit to easyjet, if you book a flight and a mistake is made or plans change later on in the same day, you can call them and ask them to cancel the booking for no charge, then rebook for the correct details. Something to do with their systems not processing payments until midnight.
