                    Hi folks,
I have a laminated floor in living room and on one of the boards in middle of floor about a square inch of the top of the board had been damaged, you can see the dark colour underneath as the laminated pattern has been damaged or worn off.
There is no noticeable depth or hole, I actually have part of the pattern that's broken off and its about a millemetre thick.
I think its tongue and groove laminating, other than getting someone in to replace board (I do have a few spares), is there any repair kit that I can use to do a repair such as colouring in the part that's bare without a pattern?
Another thing, my partner has got one of those steam cleaning electric mops from argos, really does a good job but I get the impression not a good idea maybe for a laminated floor?
Thanks for any advice.

you can get specific pens and waxes for repairs, how well they work and how noticeable the repair is, is down to how bad the damage is and floor pattern, generally though as a diy repair they don't blend in that well, and the damage will also probably get worse.
There are companies/people that do professional repair and do a great job in blending it in, however the cost would probably not be worth it.
Bare in mind that to get to the damaged board to replace it you'll need the entire floor up from one side to that point.0
